
AUTOBIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH: I was born and raised in Erie, Pennsylvania. After
obtaining a B.A. in Linguistics from Oberlin College, I was awarded a Ph.D. in
Linguistics from the University of Texas. In 1992, I was ordained as a reform
rabbi by the Hebrew Union College in New York, NY. I am a member of the Central
Conference of American Rabbis; in 2007, I was board certified by the National
Association of Jewish Chaplains. I am currently serving as a hospice chaplain
at both Family Choice Hospice and Princeton Hospice of New Jersey. I have a
trained singing voice and have served as both rabbi and cantor for various
congregations and for numerous free-lance lifecycle events. On May 13, 2005, I
was featured on the front page of the New York Times Metro section. .
